A touchy topic, I know.
I was on Facebook today, and I came across a picture of my niece’s children. She has a girl age 6 (the oldest) and two boys, I forget their ages. The boys look great. They look like fun-loving little boys. I was shocked to see the little 6-year-old girl.
I know girls are developing at a younger age now. We are talking between the ages of 10-13 which in reality is around the time that girls start to develop. You occasionally see the 9-year-old girls with some cleavage starting. I was shocked to see that my 6-year-old great-niece had more cleavage than me!
Of course, me being me, I couldn’t not say anything to my niece about this. I sent her a private message. I personally think she should have cropped her daughter’s chest out of the picture. It is so easy to save pictures off of Facebook. If it gets saved and uploaded or sent to god knows who to do god knows what with, it would be bad. I feel that putting that unedited picture up is putting this little girl at risk of being sexually assaulted. I suggested that my niece talk to her daughter’s pediatrician about slowing or stopping the development process until her little girl is older.
I would love to hear your thoughts
